HomeGroup and Hyper-V role on 8.1 locks pc on boot

Hi Folks

Are there known compatibility issues with running homegroup alongside the hyper-v role under Windows 8.1?

I have been running the hyper-v role on my PC with no issues, however yesterday I enabled homegroup to share files on my home network, this worked perfect until a reboot.

On reboot at the log-on screen the network icon shows no internet connectivity (explanation mark) and then after a few seconds the PC totally freezes.

The only way I can stop the PC locking at the log-on screen is to disable the 'HomeGroupListener' and 'HomeGroupProvider' services.  Now I am working again, all be it without homegroup.

I am suspecting that homegroup is having compatibility problems with how hyper-v takes over and manages the networking adapters?

Can anyone confirm?

Note: I am not trying to run a homegroup from within virtual machines, I have enabled this on the host PC that has the hyper-v role.

Thanks
