In Windows 8 and 8.1 you're supposed to use right-click on the network panel to perform actions like "forget this network" or "turn sharing on or off", like in this pic:
But starting from an unknown point in time, my network panel stopped responding to right-clicks altogether. Right-clicking on items no longer have any effects: no pop-up menu, even no graphical feedback indicating that it has been clicked (like short animation when you lift-click on them) .
I've tried using sfc /scannow which didn't fix the problem.
Right-clicking on the metro start-screen and in other metro apps works fine.
