Hi,
I have quite a few Dell Latitude E6320 and E6220 laptops with the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 wireless adaptor with,
- Windows 8 64bit Enterprise (all the latest updates and security patches)
- Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6205 driver version 15.6.1 (the latest)
- Cisco AP (yes they're updated to fix the 802.11 bug)
- 802.1x using the Windows 8 supplicant
We're finding that they're intermittently not roaming, if I manually connect to the existing wireless profile when this happens it connects fine and continues to roam. We've had a wireless site survey and found no issues. This problem has be consistent across all versions of the Intel drivers we've trialled.
I also happen to have a Dell Latitude 10 tablet which I use at home (not a corporate build) and have found that it too also exhibits the same intermittent issue when connecting to my home 802.11ac wireless router. The tablet has a Broadcom 802.11abgn SDIO adaptor again with the latest published drivers.
I'm starting to suspect the update you provided to improve the stability of the Windows 8 wired and wireless supplicant didn't resolve all of the issues. Can you confirm if you're aware of a current issue similar to what I've described and what can I do to provide more detail when the issue occurs as I'm seeing nothing in any of the event logs.
Cheers,
Matt
