On a surface pro (original model) running clean installation of W8.1 I am frequently getting BSOD's that point out to : mwlu97w8x64.sys - a.k.a the Marvell WiFi drivers. This is incredibly annoying as it halts the proper use of the system.
However. All Windows components are up to date (including firmware) and additionally, the latest drivers for every component are installed. This is re-confirmed by downloading the March 2014 driver update package where 14.69.24052.168 is the latest driver for Marvel; and these are installed as well.
To troubleshoot. already removed both the marvel WiFi device and it's related Bluetooth device along with a check mark to delete the drivers windows have, and reinstalled the devices with the 14.69.24052.168 freshly. This didn't solve the problem. Furthermore it seems that the BSOD happens faster when using both Bluetooth and WiFi - i.e the Arc touch mouse Surface edition that I have. I tried two different Arc mice to rule out that one is sending out some faulty bits , but that doesn't resolve it. Not using the Arc mouse and/or Bluetooth causes the BSOD's to happen less often. But they are still there.
Another troubleshooting attempt, was to uncheck the flags in device manager for both Bluetooth and Wifi that Windows is allowed to put them to sleep. Sadly, no result.
I've placed the most recent memory dump file in my public skydrive folder (link below) - I hope somebody is able to use that to shed some more light on this.
