Windows 8 sees only partial contents of Server 2008 share

I have several shared folders on a Windows Server 2008. Two Windows 8 computers are having problems either not being able to access the share or seeing only partial contents of a share. It does not appear to be user specific; two users logged into the same computer and had the same problem. The same users logged onto Windows 7 or XP machines are having no problems. No other users on other computers are reporting any problems.
