Hello everyone,
I don't know where else to turn to so hopefully someone here can help. We have a VPN with computers successfully connecting to it however, my Surface Pro will not connect. I have also tried a Surface Pro 3 and am getting the same issue which is leading me to think it is a Surface issue. We are using a L2TP/IPsec connection. I type in the IP address, user name & ID and get the Error 800 every time. The Surface Pro is using Win8.1.
Tried connecting with default VPN settings - error 800.
Tried connecting with firewall turned off - error 800.
Tried going into Network Adaptors and adding in the Share Key - error 800.
Tried from the Microsoft store on a store model Pro 3 - error 800.
Tried updating the Registry with the AssumeUDPEncapsulationContextOnSendRule (support article 926179) - error 800.
Tried from a non-Surface - connected just fine.
Any thoughts on what else to try? Ports 500/4500/1701 are open (other wise other PCs wouldn't connect), all PCs are up-to-date with patches.
Thank you for your help.
